SHAUN RIECK - CEO

For more than 23 years, Shaun has held leadership positions in diverse areas and organisations, spanning both government and non-government sectors.

Shaun is committed to supporting West Coast Youth & Community Support to empower young people, individuals and families to implement positive changes which lead to better outcomes for everyone in the community.

Shaun enjoys working in an environment where he can make a difference and is passionate about not only his community but ensuring sustainability of services for the future generations.

Being a part of an organisation that is at the forefront of creating meaningful change for individuals and communities within a diverse geographical area is something that excites Shaun.

PAUL BAHR- Chairperson

A retired Police Superintendent, Paul served in SAPOL for 42 years up until 2024. The last five years he served as SAPOL’s Commander for the Eyre & Western Local Service Area. Prior to that Paul had also served as Manager of Human Resources and Industrial Relations as well as having over 20 year’s experience in the Forensic Services Branch. Paul has also been a member of Rotary International since 2008 and has extensive involved in youth program delivery. Paul holds an Honour’s Degree in Social Science, Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Graduate Diploma in Executive Leadership.

MATT SYME – Vice Chairperson 

A member of the WCYCS Board for 10 years, Matt is Principal of Port Lincoln Special School and Vice President of the South Australian Special School Principal and Leaders Association.

Teacher and leader working in both mainstream and alternative learning settings in South Australia and New South Wales since 1993. Matt has extensive experience in leadership and working with young people and a keen interest in learning and wellness connections. Matt loves the outdoors, music and family activities.

JOHN SINCLAIR- Treasurer

Accountant at RSM.  Part time sheep grazier on family farm located at Green Patch and a Port Lincoln lad.  Passionate about the Lower Eyre Peninsula and the people within it.  Actively supports young people through his role at Lincoln South Football Club.DANIELLE GODDEN

Health sector; Audiologist who is passionate about working with and helping people across the Eyre Peninsula both through her profession and in the community involvement in the community.

ROB WATSON- Secretary

For nearly 40 years Rob was a clothing retailer. Now, he works part time as a representative of several clothing suppliers visiting stores throughout South Australia.

Rob has proudly been part of the Port Lincoln Muroto Friendship exchange since 1992 and has helped facilitate over 300 Port Lincoln people enjoy spending time embracing the culture of Japan, and helped a similar number of people from Muroto experience what the Eyre Peninsula has to offer.

Rob enjoys fishing for recreation and walking for exercise and life.

HOLLY FIEGERT

Experienced health sector professional with extensive expertise in clinical leadership, governance, and the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. Demonstrated success in team management, implementation of healthcare reform and policy initiatives, and applying strong critical appraisal skills to support evidence-informed decision making and service improvement.

Alongside a healthcare career, brings hands-on experience as the owner and operator of a farm business, with responsibility for farm operations and management. Actively involved in the community through volunteering within local sporting clubs.

ANNE HUEPPAUFF

Anne is a counsellor working in private practice in Port Lincoln where she supports people from all ages and stages. Anne has extensive experience working with young people both as an educator and in volunteer positions across the community. She has a keen interest in social justice and giving young people a chance to reach their full potential. Anne loves being active and involved in community.

MARIE KENNEDY

Owner of local business Eyre Trading, with a previous career in teaching at Port Lincoln Primary School.  Mindful of being an active, positive contributor to the Eyre Peninsula community in order for us all to flourish.

DANIELLE SIMMONS

Working within the health sector; Danielle is an Audiologist who is passionate about working with and helping people across the Eyre Peninsula both through her profession and in the community, particularly through her involvement in the Port Lincoln Yacht Club.
